It all began at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, under the great dome, where Khalid offered to explain a painting that Lina knew better than he did.
The years
Then came six winters, Sundays at the grandparents' in Al Ain, and a first apartment facing the Corniche, where they learned to build a life together.
The proposal
One January evening, on a dune near Liwa, Khalid asked the question; Lina said yes before the sun had set.
The program
5 pmAl MilchaThe signing of the marriage contract (Al Milcha) takes place at the palace at 5 pm, in the presence of both families. Please arrive from 4:30 pm; modest dress is kindly requested.
7 pmReception & dinnerThe reception opens at Al Waha Palace at 7 pm, with tea, Arabic coffee and dates; then dinner under the lanterns and the party, late into the night.
Sam.BrunchThe next day, join us from 11:30 am on the palace terrace for one last moment together before heading home.
