How we make your digital wedding invitation

Every invitation is designed and composed by our studio. The illustrations and the video intro are created with artificial intelligence tools under our direction, then selected, retouched and laid out by hand. Here is how it works, step by step.

We decide everything that makes an invitation: the style, the layout, the wording, the animations, the proofreading. AI tools produce images and video from our directions; we keep what is right and discard the rest.

The steps, in order

01Your brief

After you order, you fill out a questionnaire in your client portal: first names, dates, venues, schedule, wording, photos, languages. Everything that follows starts there.

02Art direction and composition

One person at the studio takes charge of your invitation, starts from the design you chose, decides with you what changes (palette, typefaces, sections, order), and writes the directions the tools will follow.

03Illustrations

The illustrations are generated by image models from our written directions: subject, style, light, colors. We produce several, select on a contact sheet, then crop, cut out and correct the ones we keep. Nobody draws them with a pencil or a brush: they are directed, chosen and retouched by us.

04Video intro

The animated opening of each design (envelope, curtain, shutters, seal…) is generated by a video model from a start image, an end image and a description of the motion that we write. We test at low resolution, keep a single render, then edit it: fade, closing glow, fallback still, light encoding for phones.

05Layout, animations and wording

The layout is composed by hand in our engine: placing the illustrations, parallax, scroll animations, text panels, sections, RSVP, wording in each of your languages. It is the longest step, and it is entirely human.

06Reviewing with you

You receive a first draft on your phone, you comment, we adjust: 2, 4 or 7 rounds of design revisions depending on the plan. Your details stay editable without limit until the wedding day.

07Going live

Your invitation goes live at your own address (yesandyesagain.com/emma-and-james), and your guests' replies arrive in your client portal. It stays online with no time limit.

What is unique to you

It depends on the plan, and we would rather say so plainly.

What is human, what the tools do

Done by our studioDone with AI tools
Each design's concept and style; the written directions; selection, cropping and cutouts; layout, animations and code; wording and proofreading; every exchange with you. Generating the illustrations from our directions; generating the opening video; preparing some translations and wording variants, which we proofread.

Your photos and the demos

The couples, venues and photos in our demos are fictional: they are generated too. Your invitation uses your real photos; if we illustrate your venue, they serve as the reference for our directions.

Why we say it

Because it is true, and because you are paying for design work, not a promise. The European AI Act requires generated images and video to be disclosed: this page is that disclosure. The illustrations and video intros of our invitations are generated with AI tools, under our studio's direction.
